For those of you booking your accommodation as part of your workshop or conference attendance then you will be allocated a room, based on availability at either the Courtyard by Marriott or Holiday Inn Express, City Centre. Both hotels are located a short 10-minute walk away from the conference venue.

If you are booking your own accommodation then it is advisable to do so as early as possible, as Edinburgh gets notoriously busy and expensive in the autumn and run up to Christmas.

Travel to Edinburgh

Edinburgh is easily accessed by road, rail or air. Most domestic flights offered within the UK are part of airlines operations, and offset carbon emissions within the UK. We kindly ask all delegates to be mindful when booking and making travel plans.

Most train operators will release tickets and fares, about 90 days prior to your travel date.

Parking and local transport

Neither hotels nor the conference venue offer onsite parking, mainly due to their central location. Nearby car-parks are available and discounts can be found if booked in advance. The most convenient is the OMNI carpark

Edinburgh is served by a great tram system, and you can catch a tram straight from the airport, or nearby to main railway stations to easily and cheaply move around the City.

Conference dinner and Ceilidh

Join us on Thursday night at a truly unique venue located in the heart of Edinburgh, complete with an in-house local Ceilidh band. The Ghillie Dhu, Edinburgh, was originally St Thomas Episcopal Church, and has been beautifully restored to showcase its traditional features and is a stunning example of the capitals intricate architecture.

We aim to keep sustainability at the core of our conferences and make sure that we work with eco-friendly suppliers and venues that source locally grown produce. No single use plastics, or non-reusable items are included in our planning.
